My two favorite things in the world are stories and the outdoors, and my writing lives at the place where those two passions meet. When I’m not working on a novel, you can find me with my family —hiking, taking photos, traveling, or curled up with a book.

For the past ten years, I’ve traveled the world as a photographer, chasing the quiet magic that exists in wild places. Those experiences shape everything I write. I’m endlessly inspired by how where we are shapes who we become.

The first time I stood beneath the northern lights, I was entranced by the phenomenon. I knew the world needed more books set in extraordinary places. So I’m writing them.
